Since sustainability has become a fundamental consideration for consumers and architects, green building programs have been put in place to verify which buildings and projects meet specific sustainable design goals. The materials used in these buildings are an important part of the environmentally friendly design as they can contribute to energy efficiency of the building as well as indoor air quality.
